Ireland - Day 5

This morning we drove to see the Rock of Cashel, a spectacular group of medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone.  The round tower is from the 12^th century, the gothic cathedral from the 13^th century, and the castle from the 15^th century.

There is an ancient abbey nearby.

We spent the afternoon exploring Kilkenny.

In the evening we gave a concert in St Canice’s Cathedral.
