A Belated Earth Day Celebration

We drove to our Adirondack "camp" yesterday - from W's dad's place in Baltimore. A very long drive.

Today we planted 10 Canadian hemlock trees and 5 red osier dogwoods on the property, the latter down by the lake. Tomorrow we will transplant the 20 birches and 5 viburnums from the "nursery" where they were put last year and also plant more ferns. Definitely an earth-friendly way to spend the weekend.

I did it :)

I finished the king-sized quilt I've been making.

Of course now I'm anxious to get to the next one - which is designed and ready to go; or the next one - which is mostly designed and the fabrics selected; or the next one - for which I have a few fabrics. I definitely have the quilting bug.

A truly awesome place.

Sorrel River Ranch Resort

And here is what it looks like from the ground. A very awesome place to stay while touring southeastern Utah.

Sorrel River Ranch Resort

Do you get the feeling I'm into satellite images?

This is an aerial view of the resort we stayed at on the Colorado River outside of Moab, Utah during a recent visit to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.

A weird spot in the desert. It is part of a potash processing plant outside of Moab, Utah.
