We left yesterday for our tour of Ireland with the
chorus. We took a bus to JFK and flew
from there to Shannon, Ireland, arriving this morning. The map shows all the places we visited on
the trip, underlined in red. Click on the photo to get a larger view.
We immediately boarded our tour bus and drove to Auburn
Lodge in Ennis for lunch.
Then we headed for the spectacular Cliffs of Moher on the
coast south of Doolin.
From there we drove to the hotel in Clonmel.
This is a sighting typical of the trip - Cahir Castle.
Old stone buildings and ruins dot the countryside, reminding us we are not in the US.
