We picked up rental bikes yesterday morning but didn't go for a ride. It has been so hot, we have been spending a lot of time in the air conditioning. We did take our daily walk on the beach at sunset.
Today first thing we took a nice long bike ride. We rode up to the Bailey Tract and had planned to ride all the trails there. But a couple had very soft sand that we had to walk the bikes through so we rode out to Indian Inn Road and took that back to West Gulf then rode west to the end of that bike path then up the nice path west of Rabbit Road all the way up to Sanibel-Captiva Road. We've decided we will take that route up to the Ding Darling Road one of these days and bike the entire loop. We had a nice lunch at Blue Giraffe and shopped for new sunglasses at a shop nearby. This evening we walked the beach again to watch the sunset. It has not been very spectacular the last couple of days. Glad we got a good photo of one the day we arrived.
